Two arrested in Humansdorp for being in possesion of mandrax

Humansdorp police have arrested two suspects for being in possesion of drugs.

Police spokesperson, Lt-Col Pricilla Naidu says police received a tip-off from the community, and arrested a 33 year old man and an 18 year old girl in Arcadia on Saturday afternoon.

She says about 225 mandrax tablets were found hidden in the ceiling of the house. Police also confiscated a number of broken mandrax tablets.

Naidu says the street value of the drugs is estimated at around R20 000.

The suspects will appear in court on Monday.
