East London police have arrested two suspects, aged 24 and 31, following a business robbery in Quigney.
Spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi said it is alleged that five armed men entered a clothing store in Vincent on Thursday and held the staff at gunpoint.
The men allegedly demanded money but made off with cellphones after they could not access the cash.
Captain Mbi said the suspects fled the scene in a grey Hyundai vehicle which was hired from a local car rental company.
The suspects will appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on Monday facing charges of business robbery.
Mbi added that acting Mdantsane Cluster Commander, Brigadier Marinda Mills had praised the swift action and alertness of the police which were on patrol during the time of the incident. He said that more arrests were imminent.
