Eastern Cape police have arrested two suspects in Addo for the alleged attempted murder of an Ethiopian man.
Police spokesperson, Lt Col Priscilla Naidu says both suspects are linked to an armed robbery at a spaza shop on Friday.
She says the two men, armed with firearms entered the shop and held the owner and an assistant at gunpoint. The owner was assaulted by one of the men.
Naidu says they fled with about R5 000 cash, as well as airtime and other goods.
She says police recovered two firearms.
The suspects, aged 26 and 30 will appear in court on Tuesday on charges of attempted murder and armed robbery.
