Two people have been arrested after the vehicle of a Uitenhage councillor was petrol-bombed in Kwanobuhle on Thursday night.
Police spokesperson, warrant officer, Gerda Swart, says the incident happened after midnight when a group of people went to the home of the female councillor in Qolohle Street.
She says the councillors bakkie was destroyed in the blaze.
Swart says the two suspects behind bars will appear in court on a charge of malicious damage to property.
