The Border Kei Chamber of Business paid tribute to the former executive director, Les Holbrook, who died on Friday.
Current CEO, Lizelle Maurice, said Holbrook served the business community “very well” over the 28 years that he had been at the Chamber before retiring in 2020.
She told Algoa FM News that she had a cordial relationship with Holbrook during her five-year term as the chairperson of the Businesswomen’s Association which worked closely with the Chamber.
Maurice sent condolences to the Holbrook family.
In a Facebook message on June 15, 2020, the Chamber paid tribute to Holbrook in a post on "Meeting the Chamber Team", describing him as “one of the longest-serving Chamber Executive Directors in SA.
It said this demonstrated “that an Industry calling exists deep in the person.”
