Southern Cape police have arrested 48 suspects for drug-related offenses.
Spokesperson, Sergeant Christopher Spies says the arrests were made during a joint operation from Friday until Sunday morning.
He says it included roadblocks, vehicle checkpoints, closing of drug outlets, vehicle patrols, and stop and search operations.
45 suspects were arrested for possession of drugs and three for dealing in drugs.
Sergeant Spies says most of the suspects, aged between 17 and 49, were arrested in Beaufort West, Oudtshoorn, and Knysna.
They are all in police custody and will appear in various courts once charged.
