Transport Minister, Ben Martins, will join Eastern Cape Transport MEC, Thandiswa Marawu, at a roadblock at Kinkelbos on Sunday.
The provincial department of transport says this forms part of the intensification of its festive season Arrive Alive campaign.
MEC Marawu says their main objective is to promote road traffic safety in general throughout the Province in order to effect a reduction in road accidents, fatalities and injuries.
She says the implementation of the National Rolling Enforcement Plan will see provincial traffic officers stopping and checking a minimum of 15 vehicles per eight-hour shift.
