The minister of Transport Fikile Mbalula is expected to make his way to the N10 on Monday morning where trucks have been stranded since Sunday morning.
According to police, trucks were prevented from passing through the National Road outside Middelburg as drivers are protesting against foreign drivers.
The Department of Transport says the blockade has affected several trucks, especially those that are transporting Manganese destined for international markets.
On Sunday the MEC for Transport Weziwe Tikana-Gxotiwe made her way to the blockade to address the protesters.
At the moment only small vehicles can drive through and motorists are urged to use the R65- Steynsburg road as an alternative route.
