Two Mthatha traffic officers have appeared in court on charges of bribery and corruption.
Mphokazi Whacha and Nomathamsanqa Ndube were arrested on Sunday during an under-cover operation.
Police spokesperson, lieutenant colonel Mzukisi Fatyela, says police set up the sting after a motorist complained that she had been given a hefty fine for parking incorrectly.
He says the two traffic officers were released on bail of R800 each.
