A 50-year-old German man has drowned in Plettenberg Bay.
The National Sea Rescue Institute says they were alerted to the drowning at the Dunes caravan park at Keurbooms beach on Wednesday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Andrew Ingram says the man was treated at the scene, and transported to Plettenberg Bay Medi Clinic, where he was declared dead on arrival.
He says the man was on holiday in the Garden Route.
In a second incident, a private boat overturned in the Keurbooms river mouth.
Ingram says 4 people were helped out of water and returned to shore. No one was injured.
He says it was the second time in three days that the same boat needed to be rescued.
