Tourism-related businesses received a boost on Monday with the arrival of the Queen Mary 2 in Nelson Mandela Bay.
Hundreds of passengers disembarked to visit various destinations in and around the Metro, with many streaming to the Boardwalk where they were warmly welcomed.
Several visitors, including executive mayor Benson Fihla, were entertained on board the massive vessel, which sets sails at around 6pm.
The vessel arrived from Durban en route to Cape Town. One American tourist said he's enjoying South Africa so far.
