Management at the Radisson Hotel on Port Elizabeth's beachfront says it is business as usual, and that there is no intention of closing the five-star establishment.
It follows a report on Friday morning stating that the hotel has been placed under liquidation.
The General Manager, Clive van Oudtshoorn, says the hotel is operating on a financially sound basis.
Van Oudshoorn says the debt referred to in the report is from pre-opening financing..
"At the Hotel it is really business as usual the report in today's newspaper indicated that it was a result of financial irregularities, certainly we would like to at this stage put on record that we are not aware of any of those sort of irregularities. The financial situation of the Hotel is a result of pre-opening financing and debt on development and really the Hotel is operating very soundly at the moment and it is business as usual for us going forward"
