A young couple has survived a home invasion shaken but otherwise unscathed at a game park in Kragga Kamma,
Captain Andre Beetge says the 28-year-old man and his 26-year-old girlfriend were woken by the sound of the glass breaking on the sliding door of their guest house at the game park at around a quarter to one on Friday morning.
"Four men armed with knives then overpowered them and tied them up with cables and locked them in the bathroom," said Captain Beetge.
"The suspects then took various valuables (cell phones, wallets, jewellery, jacket) of the couple and a Hisense TV and fled the scene. A short while later the couple managed to free themselves and alerted authorities to their ordeal."
A case of armed robbery has been opened by Kabega Park police.
