Three people were shot and wounded in Schauderville in Gqeberha's northern areas on Saturday.
The Eastern Cape Health Department says a bakkie arrived at Livingstone Hospital at high speed, loaded with young people.
Spokesperson, Siswe Kupelo says three of them had sustained gunshot wounds while on the back of the bakkie.
He says the shooting occurred while they were on the way back from a funeral, and it is suspected that the incident was gang-related.
Kupelo says two of the victims sustained gunshot wounds to the head and the third a gunshot wound to the leg.
No arrests have yet been made.
