EC Transport MEC to visit family of deceased traffic officer

Eastern Cape Transport MEC, Xolile Nqatha will pay a special compassionate visit to the family of the traffic officer who was run over by a truck on the N2 near Kinkelbos outside Colchester on Tuesday.

Spokesperson, Unathi Binqose says the MEC will meet with the family of the deceased at their home in Kariega on Sunday.

He says 43-year-old Sisanda Hadi tragically lost her life in the execution of her duty, as she was trying to stop the truck for a routine check at the weighbridge.

Binqose says Hadi dedicated more than 15 years of her life to traffic law enforcement with the department.
