Police in Port Elizabeth are searching for three children who went missing in Motherwell on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the kids were playing in an open field in NU29 at about noon.
Their families only realised they were missing at 3 pm and started searching for them.
Naidu says by 10 pm they alerted police who searched for the children until 3 am on Wednesday morning when the search had to be called off.
Motherwell detectives, Visible police and the K9 unit and Airwing will continue their search on Wednesday.
All three children are three years old.
Police are appealing to members of the community to come forward with any information.
