Three people were killed on Monday night in a head-on collision on the R61 between Queenstown and Cofimvaba.
Provincial traffice department spokesperson Thsepo Machaea says a Toyota Tazz and a Nissan Micra collided at about 10pm.
Two people died on impact and a third died on the way to hospital.
Six other passengers were seriously injured and were rushed to hospitals in Queenstown and Cofimvaba.
The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
