Three suspected Port Elizabeth gangsters are due to appear in court on Tuesday.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says they were arrested separately over the weekend and in different parts of the city.
The arrests were made by the police's gang unit, Public Order Policing Unit and Bethelsdorp police.
Janse Van Rensburg says during the arrests police seized a car that had been reported stolen in the Mount Road policing area.
Three fire-arms were also recovered during one of the arrests.
Janse Van Rensburg says the firearms were stolen during a recent robbery at a house in Humewood.
