Port Elizabeth police arrested a 23-year-old gang affiliate for the alleged murder of a teenager on Friday night.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the 18-year-old Genricho Sampson was walking with his 22-year-old friend in Bethelsdorp when two suspects approached them from behind.
She says Sampson was shot multiple times and they witness managed to escape unharmed.
Naidu says the victim was from the Gupta's Gang while the suspect is affiliated with the Vampire's Gang
He will appear in court Monday on a charge of murder.
Meanwhile, another two known gang members will also appear in court on charges of attempted murder.
This follows their arrest on Friday when the Tactical Response Team penetrated a house of a well-known gang member.
The wanted men allegedly shot and wounded two teenagers on the corner of Deverill and Standford road in September this year.
Naidu says they also confiscated a pistol which was found hidden under paving in the yard.
