Members of three parliamentary committees will descend on the Eastern Cape from Monday.
The Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance will visit Makana Municipality to gauge whether there's been any improvement since the Municipality was placed under administration.
During Tuesday's visit, Committee members will interact with municipal stakeholders, including the Makana Ratepayers Association, the business sector as well as political parties.
On Wednesday the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Corrections will visit Mthatha Prison to get a first hand account from prison authorities about their plans to address several challenges that include overcrowding.
Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Petitions will hold public hearings in Mthatha next Thursday in response to a petition from residents regarding improving road and other infrastructure.
