Three people have been killed in another major accident on Eastern Cape roads.
Provincial traffic spokesperson, Charles Bramwell, said that the latest major crash occurred yesterday on the N2 between Dutywa and Mthatha and involved four cars.
Bramwell said that four people were injured.
“It’s alleged that a Renault Clio collided with a Suzuki sedan. The Suzuki swerved and collided with a Toyoto Quantum,” he said.
Bramwell added that the Renault Clio then went on to collide with two other cars.
“A case of culpable homicide is being investigated by the SAPS Dutywa,” he said.
Bramwell said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Wednesday’s accident came just days after eight people were killed in a head-on smash.
More than 20 people died on the province’s roads since last Thursday.
