Sentencing is expected in the Port Elizabeth High Court on Wednesday of three men convicted of the premeditated murder of an off-duty prison warder in June 2014.
Quinton Williams died as a result of severe head injuries, with all the bones in his skull being fractured in the brutal attack.
He also sustained around 30 stab wounds, which included wounds to his lungs and kidneys.
Jean-Claude Uithaler, 20, Khawulelani Gqunta, 19, and Sinethemba Mfihlo, 19, were earlier found guilty on charges of premeditated murder and robbery.
According to the State, Williams was attacked in June 2014 while returning home from a tavern.
The accused stole an undisclosed amount of money and a pair of takkies from him.
