Two pedestrians and a motorist have been killed in the past 24 hours in separate road accidents in Port Elizabeth.
Police warrant officer Alwin Labans says a man was struck and killed by a vehicle while crossing the N2 under the Stanford Road bridge early on Tuesday morning.
On Monday night, a pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a motorcycle on the N2 near Ever Ready.
Labans, says the woman riding the motor bike was seriously injured and is being treated in hospital.
Earlier in the day, a man from Graaff-Reinet was killed when he crashed his car through the wall of the Sidwell traffic department.
He has been identified as 48 year-old Hendrik Swart.
Swart's wife Mara had left for Port Elizabeth earlier.
Her family is concerned for her welfare and has asked her to make contact with them.
