Eastern Cape police are investigating a case of culpable homicide after three people were killed in a hit and run on New Year's Eve.
A spokesperson for Provincial Traffic Unathi Binqose says the three men were busy changing a tyre on the N6 between Stutterheim and East London when a vehicle drove into them.
All three died on the scene.
Binqose says police found an EC number plate near the accident scene and they believe it belongs to the guilty driver.
The Department has made a desperate plea to the driver to turn himself in as police are already hot on his heels.
The names and ages of the deceased are not yet known.
