Three people have been shot and killed in unrelated but suspected targeted style killings in Port Elizabeth.
Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, says in the first incident, a 28-year-old pregnant woman was shot by unknown attackers in Kwadwesi on Monday night.
Beetge said people near the vicinity heard gunshots and found Chuma Mkhuhulu lying on the pavement.
He said in another incident in Kwadwesi on Monday night, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed while sitting with two friends in a shack. "Baphethuxolo Mgengo was sitting with two friends in a shack when two unknown armed males kicked open the door and dragged him outside where he was shot numerous times by them. The two friends managed to flee unhurt during the incident."
Beetge says that in the third incident, a 25-year-old man was also gunned down by unknown suspects in his home on Tuesday morning in Kwazakhele. "Zamuxolo Ndwayana was woken up by unknown suspects calling for him outside. When Ndwayana answered the call he was fatally shot outside his home."
Beetge said no valuables were taken in all three incidents.
