Eastern Cape police have arrested three women, aged between 23 and 31 from Mdantsane, on fraud charges.
Police spokesperson, Captain Siphokazi Mawisa said police were called to business premises in Alexandra Road, King William's Town, where three women were planning to defraud a cash loans business.
She says the suspects allegedly went to apply for a loan with defrauded bank statements and bank cards, and when they were questioned, it transpired that the women printed the bank statements at an internet cafe in the town.
Mawisa said police were continuing with the investigation and more arrests are imminent
The trio will appear in the King Williams Town Magistrate Court on Monday.
