Three Eastern Cape policemen perish in Stutterheim crash

Three Eastern Cape police members have been killed in an accident near Stutterheim.
Police spokesperson, major Ernest Sigobe, says the accident occurred about 5 km outside Stutterheim on Monday morning when a police vehicle collided with an ambulance.
He says the members were attached to the Tactical Response Team stationed at provincial headquarters in Bhisho.
Sigobe says no one in the ambulance was injured.
The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
According to Sigobe a police car and ambulance was driving towards King Williams Town when the van tried to overtake the ambulance. The van overturned killing two policeman. A third died on his way to hospital.
