Three die in apparent family tragedy in East London

East London police are investigating what appears to be a family tragedy, after they discovered three bodies with gunshot wounds at a house in Duncan Village on Tuesday morning.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Mtati Tana, says the bodies are those of two teenage children and their mother.

Tana says the father is in a critical condition in hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

He added that a firearm was discovered at the scene.

Tana said police were still trying to establish who the owner of the firearm was.
