Three arrested for possession of drugs in Uitenhage

Three men, aged between 35 and 65, are expected to appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate's Courton Wednesday, after they were arrested for the illegal possession of 15 200 mandrax tablets and crystal meth, also known as tik, worth more than R900 000.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkohli says they received information of a Nissan bakkie travelling towards Uitenhage on Tuesday, and it was pulled over in Graaff Reinet Road in Uitenhage.
He says three large bags full of drugs were recovered.
The three men were arrested on the spot, and the vehicle, which belongs to a rental company, was impounded.
Nkohli says the case will be investigated by the Hawks.
