Thirty seven people will appear in court in Sterkspruit in the north Eastern Cape today on charges of public violence.
This, after they were arrested on Monday following ongoing protests in the town in support of demands for their own municipality.
The Sterkspruit Civic Association says residents are fed-up with the lack of service delivery from the Senqu Municipality.
The SA Police Service warned residents not to break the law during protests.
Meanwhile another 32 resident were arrested overnight for public violence bringing the total to sixty nine.
