A case of theft is under investigation in East London after two green waste containers were removed without permission.
The Buffalo City Municipality says the first container disappeared last month in Gonubie and the second one on Monday in Beacon Bay.
According to a waste picker, a breakdown truck arrived at a site in Beacon Bay to pick up the container.
The driver claimed that he was sent by the City's Development Agency.
The containers are valued at R40 000 each.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the containers is urged to contact the local police or their ward councillor.
