Port Elizabeth police say six Gelvandale teenagers are being held in police cells for questioning, after a shooting incident on Friday afternoon.
Captain Stanley Jarvis says Gelvandale police were busy with a routine patrol, when 3 shots were fired.
He says an adult man was wounded, but was nowhere to be found.
The six boys, aged between 14 and 15, are being questioned by the police.
Three of the children were still in their school uniforms at the time of the incident.
