Three suspects are expected to appear in the Aberdeen Magistrates Court on Thursday on charges of attempted murder, housebreaking and theft of a motor vehicle
Warrant Officer Hannes Holtzhauzen says the suspects aged 17 and 18 were arrested this week and other charges against them include possession of an ulnlicensed firearm and possession of suspected stolen property.
Its alleged that the suspects approached a farm worker at De Rust farm and a quarrel ensued.
One of the suspects shot the farm worker in the face and the neck.
The suspects proceeded to the farmer's house where they took furniture and loaded it onto the farmer's bakkie.
Holtzhausen says all three suspects were arrested in Arcadia where police recovered the bakkie and three loaded firearms.
