Two teenagers are among seven people arrested for the brutal murder of two women on 12 December in Ngonyameni near Mount Ayliff in the Eastern Cape.
Police spokesperson, Captain Khayan Tonjeni, said they were arrested along with two men and three women by an investigative team probing the murders of the women, aged 48 and 42.
Their homestead was also torched during the incident which is believed to be linked to allegations of witchcraft levelled against them.
Tonjeni said the five adults are due to appear in court on Tuesday while the teenagers will be assessed by social workers who will make a recommendation on what steps need to be taken.
