Two boys aged 12 and 14 have drowned in a farm dam in the St Albans area of Port Elizabeth.
Police captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says four youngsters went swimming in the dam on Wednesday afternoon.
Tragically, two of them got into trouble and drowned. They were Thembalethu Jala, aged 14 and Divino Wolf, aged 12.
Janse van Rensburg says members of the local community managed to remove Jala from the water.
Warrant Officer Gerber of the K-9 unit retrieved Wolf's body.
They were both declared dead on the scene.
