Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a drive by shooting in Schauderville.

Police Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says 3 men were walking in Highfield road on Thursday morning when a white golf with two suspects approached them.

Van Rensburg says the suspects fired multiple shots and wounded a 19-year old man in his lower back.

She says police suspect the incident to be gang related.

No arrests have been made.
