Police in Gqeberha are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a teenager was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says just before 4 pm the driver of a white VW Polo, travelling on Victoria Drive, near Schoenmakerskop, lost control of the vehicle and careered into the bushes.
She says the 17-year-old Jayden Witbooi died on the scene, while three other people, aged between 16 and 27 were taken to hospital.
Colonel Naidu says the injured were all treated and already discharged from the hospital.
