Management and staff at KZN commercial radio station, East Coast Radio, say they're gutted and devastated at the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old at the station's Durban Day event.
The youngster was killed shortly after the event ended early last night at People’s Park next to the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Jay Naicker, says they are investigating.
East Coast Radio station manager Boni Mchunu said on Monday that they had received permission from city authorities to sell 18,000 tickets for the event, but had instead opted only to sell 16,500.
