A school boy from Great Brak River appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate court last Friday on a charge of murder.
The 15 year old suspect allegedly stabbed a fellow learner to death with a knife when they were travelling on a school bus last year.
The accused was a learner at the Great Brak Secondary School when the incident happened. He was arrested and charged with murder after he allegedly stabbed a fellow learner, Joseph Isaacs, with a knife in the heart.
According to eyewitnesses, the two boys had an argument about a seat that both of them wanted to sit on. The victim asked the bus driver to stop shortly after the stabbing occurred. He fell down next to the road and was declared dead shortly thereafter. The suspect was expelled from school pending the outcome of the court case.
He was released in the care of family members and will appear in court again shortly.
