The proposal for a controversial fish farm in Algoa Bay will come under the spotlight at a public meeting in Port Elizabeth on Monday.
The Department of Environmental Affairs will be meeting hundreds of objectors, who believe the fish farm will spell bad news for the economy of Nelson Mandela Bay.
A petition opposing the fish farm has already garnered thousands of signatures.
Opponents say the fish farm will lure sharks into Algoa Bay and threaten water sports, sailing and international events like Ironman.
Earlier, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister, Senzeni Zokwana, said that 25 key stakeholders had been consulted during the public participation process for the proposed Algoa Bay fish farm.
Opposition parties say questions will also be put to the national minister on the Algoa Bay fish farm in the National Assembly.
