Teen arrested for murder in Tarkastad

A 16 year-old youth has been arrested for the murder of a young man at Tarkastad.

Cradock police spokesperson, Captain Stefanie Smith, says Aphiwe Jali was in his twenties and was stabbed to death at a tavern in Tarkastad late on Sunday night.

It is alleged that Jali and the youth had a quarrel over a hat when the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the deceased in the neck.

He died at the scene.
