The Nelson Mandela Bay Ratepayers Association and AfriForum PE say they won't rest until they've seen the end of mismanagement and corruption in the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro.
In a hard-hitting statement, Ratepayers Association Chairman Kobus Gerber says they'll strive to ensure that those who financially benefited from the hundreds of millions of rands of unaccounted for IPTS funding - be brought to book.
Gerber was responding to a report submitted to Budget and Treasury at City Hall last Friday, in which Corporate Services boss Mod Ndoyana asked that no further action be taken against officials or politicians involved in the Integrated Public Transport System.
According to Weekend Post, Ndoyana wants council to authorise more than R146 million that was overspent on the city's beleaguered bus system.
