A 45-year-old teacher from Glenwood House appeared in the George Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on a charge of sexual grooming of a child.
The man has arrested at his home in George a fortnight ago after a 16-year-old learner from the school reported the incident to his parents.
George police searched the suspect's home and confiscated cell phones and laptops.
Southern Cape police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie says the victim told police that the teacher has been making derogatory sexual suggestions to him since 2014.
The suspect was granted R2000 bail and has been placed under house arrest. He has been suspended from Glenwood House and is not allowed to be on school premises.
The case was postponed to the 6th of October for further investigation.
