The bodies of five children who were killed in the tavern tragedy at Scenery Park in East London on Sunday are yet to be identified.
The Department of Health says 16 of the victims have been positively identified and their bodies will be released to their families on Monday to start with funeral arrangements.
The post-mortems on all the victims have been completed but a forensic report is not yet ready as samples have been sent to a forensic lab to be analysed.
Police Spokesperson Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana has urged parents who have not seen their children to check in with the Woodbrook mortuary.
He says children who survived the tragedy should also go and get a medical check-up.
The Department of Health said 28 patients were treated at the Mpilweni Gompo Health Centre and 16 have been discharged.
The victims all complained of backache, a tight chest and headaches with others vomiting.
Several patients were also observed but discharged when they did not show any symptoms.
Two remain in hospital.
All the deceased were teenagers.
