Task team ready to rebuild ANC structures in metro

The national task team appointed by the ANC to oversee the rebuilding of party structures in Nelson Mandela Bay is ready to commence its work.

The team, led by former Defence Minister, Charles Nqakula, was inducted at the ruling party's headquarters, Luthuli House, in Johannesburg this week.

The task team was announced by ANC president Jacob Zuma to turn the fortunes of the party around in Nelson Mandela Bay after he disbanded the ANC's Nelson Mandela regional executive committee late last year.

ANC national spokesperson, Zizi Kodwa.

"It's responsibility is to build and rebuild structures of the ANC in the Nelson Mandela Bay region and to make sure amongst other things that all different sectors and stakeholders actively participate in the life of the ANC. They aim is also to reclaim some of the lost crowd, until then we may not talk about a conference until such time we are satisfied that the team is fully active and functioning in the region" he said.
