Port Elizabeth police arrested two suspicious looking men, driving in a red Volkswagen Polo near Berry's Corner in Kempston road on Wednesday afternoon.
Captain Johan Rheeder says police are currently deployed at specific places in the area to look out for suspects following bank clients.
He says notwithstanding warnings from police not to withdraw or deposit large amounts of cash at banks, people are still doing it.
Rheeder says three men were in the Polo, and when police pulled them over, one of them jumped out and ran away.
