Two suspects are due to appear in the Port Elizabeth’s Magistrate’s Court on Monday on charges relating to the possession of rhino horn.
This follows their arrest late last week following a sting operation that was set up at a local restaurant.
According to the Hawks, their Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team in the city arrested the two men aged 27 and 36 for the possession of rhino horn and for the possession of suspected stolen property.
An operation was conducted on Friday after information was received about a man who wanted to sell a rhino horn.
The set-up deal was conducted in a restaurant on the Port Elizabeth Beachfront which led to the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of a rhino horn as well as two vehicles.
