Port Elizabeth police are searching for 3 suspects after a shooting outside a house shop in 3rd Avenue, Hillside.
Warrant officer Alwin Labans says a 32-year old man was confronted by three men who tried to hi-jack his white VW polo on Wednesday night.
Several shots were fired and the complainant who was hit in the stomach managed to drive away.
He was later taken to hospital.
Police are investigating a case of attempted murder and attempted hi-jacking.
