Two suspects have been arrested en route to Port Elizabeth a day after committing an armed robbery in Alexandria.
Police spokesperson, Captain Khaya Tonjeni, says the arrests were made late on Tuesday night on the N2.
He says the suspects allegedly held up the staff of a store in the town on Monday morning.
They took an undisclosed amount of money from the manager's office before fleeing in a bakkie.
Tonjeni says one suspect was initially arrested and police, acting on information, arrested the second suspect who was in another vehicle.
They are both due to appear in court soon.
