Suspects in EL Court for attempted business robbery

Five suspects, aged between 29 and 35 are expected to appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on Monday on charges of attempted business robbery.

They were arrested on Sunday morning after they attempted to rob a supermarket in Vincent Park Mall in East London.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Nkosikho Mzuku says police were on patrol around Vincent, when they were alerted to the incident and apprehended the suspects. 

Police confiscated two pistols, a crow bar, electrical grinder, hammer, cable ties and other tools.

Mzuku said no one was injured and no money was taken.
